James Bowles
President / Owner
James Bowles, the company president, holds a BS and MBA in Small Business Management from the University of North Alabama and his electrical experience spans over 45 years. James is currently serving as the Governor of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association, which represents electrical contractors located across the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. He is past Chairman of the Shoals Chamber of Commerce and a graduate of Leadership Shoals. He is also currently serving on the Board of Directors for the North Alabama Electrical Training Alliance. His strengths include strategic management and planning, labor negotiations, project management, as well as estimating and scheduling.
Karen Bowles
Sr Vice President
Karen Bowles, our Sr Vice President, graduated from the University of North Alabama Summa Cum Laude with a BS Degree with emphasis in Human Resources, and was the recipient of the University of North Alabama Keller Key. Upon graduation, she served as Human Resource Administrator for a manufacturing facility in the wire industry. Karen also graduated from Leadership Shoals. In 2005, Karen joined the team at B Electric, where some of her responsibilities include accounting, insurance compliance, tax audits, and licensing requirements with all State and Federal agencies. She also functions as Safety and Training Coordinator, advertising manager, as well oversees charitable giving and community service projects.
Tony Hudson
General Manager
Tony Hudson, our highly experienced and accomplished General Manager, boasts an impressive career spanning three decades. Tony is also a graduate of Leadership Shoals. With a wealth of industry knowledge and a stellar reputation for excellence, Tony has become a trusted authority in his field. His meticulous attention to detail, combined with his extensive expertise, ensures that each estimate is both precise and reliable, playing a pivotal role in the successful execution of our projects. His commitment to excellence and unmatched skills make him an invaluable asset to our team.
Wendy Bush
Office Manager
Wendy Bush, our Office Manager, is an integral part of B Electric, Inc. With a BS from the University of North Alabama, Wendy brings both expertise and a passion for service to her role. She's responsible for all payroll and weekly/monthly billing, and meticulously tracks material used on all projects. A proud graduate of Leadership Shoals, she has demonstrated strong leadership qualities within the community. Wendy is an active member of Woodmont Baptist Church, where she contributes her musical talents as a flutist in the orchestra and invests in the next generation by teaching 1st -3rd Grade Children's Choir. Her commitment to both her professional and personal endeavors highlights her unwavering dedication to excellence and service.

Dennis Medders began his electrical career as an apprentice, worked his way up to journeyman, and is now one of our estimators. He brings the same dedication, discipline, and integrity to his work that has guided him throughout his life—whether serving his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, supporting his community, or helping clients bring their projects to life.

David Rickard, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, brings a background in construction and a strong work ethic to his role as an electrical estimator. A devoted family man, he values building lasting relationships as much as building successful projects.

Thomas Gist II brings two decades of experience in the construction industry with 16 years specializing in HVAC and controls. He brings a tech-savvy edge and a sharp attention to detail to his role, ensuring every project is planned with precision and care.
