, the company president, holds a Bachelor of Science degree, as well as, a Master of Business degree from the University of North Alabama. His electrical experience spans over 30 years. James is the past, 2001-2004 Chapter President of the National Electrical Contractors Association, which exclusively represents only quality electrical contractors in the industry. He is a graduate of the Leadership Shoals Class of 2008-2009. His strengths include strategic management and planning, labor negotiations, project management, as well as estimating and scheduling. James currently serves on several committees at Woodmont Baptist Church in Florence, AL. and is a member of the Rotary club and Shoals Chamber of Commerce.


Office Staff

Karen Bowles, our Office Manager, has been in the Shoals since July of 1989. In the fall of 1997 she began her college career as a non-traditional student. She graduated in 2003 from the University of North Alabama Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree with emphasis in Human Resources. She was also the recipient of the University of North Alabama Keller Key. Upon graduation and for the next two years, she served as Human Resource Administrator for a manufacturing facility in the wire industry. In 2005, Karen joined the team at B Electric, Inc. Her strengths include organization and attention to detail. She manages the full operation of the office to include all administration duties as well as all Human Resource functions and compliance. Karen also functions as Safety and Training Coordinator. She is responsible for all Insurance audits and renewals. Karen also handles our advertising, charitable giving and community service projects. Since 2001, she has been an active member of the Shoals section of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), as well as a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She was a 2007 graduate of Leadership Shoals. Since 2005, she has served on the Youth Council at Woodmont Baptist Church and as a youth Sunday school teacher. She assists in the planning and coordination of youth projects, events, and mission trips where her main function is as cook. In her free time, she loves to read.

Wendy Bush, our Administrative Assistant, has been with B Electric, Inc. since 2008.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Alabama. She was a 2011 graduate of Leadership Shoals. She is a member of Woodmont Baptist Church where she plays flute in the orchestra and teaches Mission Friends.
